I like to follow what’s being hyped as the latest and greatest marketing products, whether it is an improvement on a previously proven method, such as article marketing, or supposedly push button software that is touted as the last program you will ever need.
Commission Killer is the one I am delving into today. I will definitely add to this review shortly, so stop back by to learn how it works.
Okay, I went through the sales process fairly quickly. The video is pretty good and makes you want to get inside. Pay $46 and you can have the basic program.
Like almost every product being sold in the make money niche, there are what are referred to as “upsells” presented before you receive access to the Commission Killer website. One builds 8 websites, 1 a week for 8 weeks, in niches that are supposed to be hot. For those not familiar with this process this is an inexpensive way to get started. I opted for this in order to see what is offered.
Another upsell is a large file of PLR (Private Label Rights) articles which can be handy if you are not used to writing about the topics that are popular and lead to sales in the digital information niches. Examples being the Weight Loss or Fitness topics. I bypassed this option and a smaller pack of articles was offered at a discount.
I have accessed the Members Only panel and begun to navigate the downloads and bonus videos, so I will have a better opinion for you soon.

Day 2
Like many programs I have purchased, Commission Killer seems to have problems delivering the goods. Maybe they stretch themselves to thin or don’t beta test enough.
The first point involves saying any hosting plan that uses cpanel will work. I use Hostmonster and the software doesn’t want to connect to my cpanel. Support says they are working on it. If you don’t already have hosting, you may want to use the recommended Hostgator plan. I have both plans, but went with Hostmonster this time. Might have to change if they can’t resolve the problem.
Secondly, the website setup I purchased was to have the first one ready on the 15th, but I haven’t received it yet and there was no notification from Commission Killer that it wouldn’t be ready. Another support ticket.
After going thru the tutorials, the program looks pretty good . I am getting the basic things, like finding domain names and watching the videos out of the way. Hope the technical stuff is taken care of quickly because it’s hard to feel the frustration in the initial stages.

Day 3-4
Well, Commission Killer support put workaround instructions in a video. It basically bypasses the initial setup without using the software. I have enough experience to understand the database setup and extra steps involved to get a site on line, but newbies would probably have a problem. After this step is done correctly, the rest of the steps use the software and are fairly simple and straight-forward.
I received the files for the weekly web site and had to use the substitute method again to get it on the web. Again, it can be intimidating for a novice. The files need to be substituted for some of the backup files in the video, but that was not explained.
I had hoped that would be it, but I am still having problems with the software.

I think I have given this program enough of my time. It hasn’t worked out for me, unfortunately. As I stated at the beginning of this post, the software just didn’t live up to the hype. It wasn’t compatible with my host choice, though it was touted to work with any host.
They did provide a manual method after a while, but I don’t think it is very newbie friendly. The content provider tool wasn’t adding posts, as the Commission Killer tutorial said it would with the settings they recommended.
The last time I tried to access the projects I had gotten online, it didn’t show any data at all. Three sites I had put up and one done for you site should have been there.
I had high hopes for this program, but I am canceling my membership and asking for the refund.
Not having a good support setup is always a bummer. If you give this program a try, I wish you well. As with any software, some people will have better luck running it, I just can’t see giving it any more of my time.
